This therapy group offers students a chance to boost their emotional
well-being in a garden setting. Through activities focused on emotional
health and developing effective coping strategies; participants will explore
the principles of cultivation, reconnection, transformation, and engagement.
Outreach events and psychoeducational services are prevention-focused and are designed to improve mental health awareness, minimize stigma, and increase student utilization of Counseling Services.
The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work is an acclaimed program created by the Gottman Institute with the goal to strengthen marital relationships. In this class, you and your spouse will learn to deepen your knowledge of one another, build friendship and trust, strengthen emotional connection and get through gridlock conflict and difficult problems. This is an eight-session workshop. Couples are encouraged to attend all eight sessions.
This is a semi-structured therapy group for students who have experienced the loss of a loved one through death. The loss can be past or recent and involve anyone who was close to the student (family, partner, friend, etc.) The first part of each group session focuses on strategies and activities to allow students to better manage and process their grief, while the second part is dedicated to processing personal experiences on implementing these strategies.

Participants will benefit from the interactive nature of the group. QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer) Suicide Prevention Training is a one or two-hour educational program designed to teach professional "gatekeepers" the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to respond. BYUH provides this training to anyone (faculty, staff, clubs, students, etc.).
Many students struggle with executive functioning skills while in college. In this workshop series you will learn strategies in how to get started on new tasks, how to manage your time with all your responsibilities, and how to keep your materials organized. Additionally, skills will be provided to assist students in getting motivated to accomplish tasks, strategies for memorizing, and skills in project completion.
