Crisis and Emergency
Counseling Services provides crisis response to students who are experiencing mental health emergencies. If you, or someone you know, is experiencing an emergency or is believed to be a danger to self and/or others, please call BYUH Department of Public Safety (808) 675-3911, 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.
During Business Hours
If you need to speak with a counselor or if you are concerned about a student and would like to consult with a counselor please call Counseling Services at (808) 675-3518. If you would prefer to talk to a counselor in person, you are welcome to walk in for immediate assistance. Counseling Services is open Monday through Friday from 8 am-5 pm.
After Hours (On-Campus Students)
If you live on-campus and need to reach a crisis outreach counselor after 5 pm, call BYUH Department of Public Safety (808) 675-3911. The on-call crisis outreach counselor will respond to after hour calls.
After Hours (Off-Campus Students)
Counseling Services does not provide after-hours crisis outreach for students off-campus. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis and need to talk to someone, please call the Hawaii CARES line at (808) 832-3100. For emergencies, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Report a Concern
For concerns regarding harm to self or others, please submit a report to the BYUH Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT). This reporting system is NOT a 911 or Emergency Service! Do not use this site to report events presenting an immediate threat to life or property. Submit report here
